Jakarta (ANTARA News) - PT Adhi Karya in cooperation with Goldstar Co Ltd (ADHI-GS JO), has won the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of Pertamina`s Residual Fluid Catalytic Cracking (RFCC) project worth US931.48 million dollars in Cilacap, Central Java.

PT Adhi Karya`s Corporate Secretary Kurnadi Gularso said here on Sunday that Pertamina had named the Adhi-Goldstar consortium as the official winner of the RFCC tender on September 12, 2011.

The project was won after the consortium took part in the tender process held since 2010.

Kurnadi said that the agreement on the project would be signed on September 27, 2011.

He said that RFCC is a Pertamina`s refinery project in Cilacap with a capacity of 62,000 BPS and with Licensor UUP and AXENS technology.

The project is expected to be finished and handed over in 39 months.

Kurniadi said the RFCC plant was a prestigious project where Pertamina was able to carry out efficiency in operating its refinery.

GS is a large and leading EPC firm from South Korea. Adhi has made a correct choice to partner with GS because it has excellent experience in the RFCC field.

It has successfully built six units of RFCC, one of which is in the United Arab Emirates. The project in the UAE is the biggest one in the world, with a capacity of 127,000 BPSD or two times the size of the Cilacap RFCC.(*)
