Ramallah (ANTARA News) - The Palestinian National Authority (PNA) on Friday warned Israel over taking any measures against the International Solidarity Movements (ISM) activists in the Palestinian territories.

Nabil al-Khatib, the PNA spokesman, told Xinhua that arresting ISM activists in the West Bank and sending them back to their countries "is condemned and rejected."

"The solidarity movement activists are expressing the spirit of solidarity with the Palestinian people, who are peacefully resisting the occupation and raciest measures," he said.

Earlier Israeli media reports said that the general command of central Israel Nitsan Alon had issued instructions to his army to detain foreign activists in the West Bank and expel them out to their countries.

Usually, dozens of ISM activists join the Palestinians in peaceful activities in the West Bank against the Israeli confiscation of lands, constructing settlement and the separation wall that swallowed large areas in the territory.

Peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians had been suspended in October 2010 after Israel insisted on settlement construction in the West Bank and east Jerusalem. The Palestinians insist that talks won`t be resumed until Israel completely halt building settlement in the territories occupied by Israel in 1967.
